Lose Weight by Sleeping More
You’re overworked, over stressed, sleep deprived and there are never enough hours in the day. Do you ever think to yourself, “if only I had more time to exercise regularly” or “if only I could get my diet in order I could lose that extra weight”. If this sounds familiar you’re not alone, most of us find it challenging to stay fit when there are so many other responsibilities pulling us away from our health conscious goals. Are you satisfied with your current state of health? Do you even have the time to think about it? Do you get enough quality rest to have sufficient energy to take care of your daily tasks, career demands and family obligations and yet
still manage time to eat properly and exercise? How can we keep the balance in our busy lives and maintain a state of health and well-being?
Losing weight is not as simple as eating low calorie/low fat foods and exercising like a maniac. There are so many aspects to consider when discussing weight loss; emotions, genetics, accumulated-toxins, etc. However, instead of delving into all of the variables involved in this most complicated equation, let’s focus on quite possibly the most important one, sleep. If we sacrifice our health by not getting enough rest we can be doing serious damage to our sleep patterns and metabolism. A very common behavior of a person wanting to lose weight is to exercise more and eat less. This is good common sense and will usually work unless the person is sacrificing sleep time in exchange for exercise time.
