Clean With VODKA

Although there may be more interesting ways to spend your time with vodka, it is an excellent eco-friendly disinfecting and cleaning agent. When choosing a bottle of vodka as a cleaner, find an inexpensive but high-grade vodka (80 proof or higher). We would never suggest that you splash your top-shelf Grey Goose into the sink or bucket.
Vodka is an excellent disinfectant and deodorizer. Bacteria, mold, mites, and smells do not hold up to the strong effect of vodka. As with all potent cleaning agents it is best to dilute the vodka first and then test it on an inconspicuous spot before proceeding. (A cocktail does not count as an inconspicuous spot.)
Here are a few earth and body friendly uses for the most common clear liquor:
Bathroom Cleaner - Vodka is particularly good at removing molds and mildew, a spray bottle used to coat your tub and shower surfaces will loosen and remove scum. A final wipe and rinse with clean water will leave the bathroom surfaces in your bathroom bacteria-free and gleaming. A swipe of vodka can also clean and polish chrome taps and fixtures.
